A community-based hub dedicated to providing support and resources for carers, whether professional or family members. Join us to connect with others, access guidance, training, equipment loans, befriending services, and more.
As a charity, we rely on donations, grant applications and our charity shop to fund our operations, not too mention our very special volunteers, who work very hard to keep services running smoothly.
If you'd like to make a donation, please press the link below which will take you to our donations page.
At The Care Hub Millbrook, we aim to create a supportive environment where carers can connect, learn, and access essential services. Our focus is on enhancing the well-being of carers through meaningful connections and practical support.
We have dedicated drop in space upstairs, above the Charity Shop, which is now open Monday to Friday between 10am and 4.00pm.
If you'd like to talk to someone, offload, share your experiences, perhaps get a bit of advice or even find out about our Carers Register or equipment loaning service, please come along. The kettle's on!
Our charity shop, staffed by volunteers, is based on the ground floor of our building and is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.00pm and Saturday 9.30am to 12.30pm.
We welcome donations of clothes and shoes for all, as well as household items such as crockery and cutlery, decorative items, bedlinen, curtains, games, toys, jigsaws and books.
Sadly, we cannot take electrical items, DVDs or VHS tapes.
Come and have a rummage!
We are coordinating a Befriending service with volunteers who have been DRB checked to provide companionship and support to both carers and their loved ones.
To become a Befriender or to refer someone who may like one, please email us using our "Contact Us" page.
The Care Hub Millbrook are putting together a register of privately paid carers in order to signpost details to people looking for help with caring for vulnerable friends and relatives.
If you would like to add your details to the register or get access to the register, please contact us via email on the "Contact Us" page.
We offer free training, support and resources to develop the skills necessary to become more confident in a caring role. These are available to anyone looking after a loved one or friend.
We have a number of wheelchairs as well as other equipment available on short term loan to members of the community. Please telephone or email us using the "Contact Us" page if you would like further information.
